Oil pump shaft

I see they sell an oil pump drive shaft with a bushing kits.  Just curious how do you get the old one out and new bushing in?

Have never done it, never needed to. Maybe Jim's or somebody sells the tools to do it? Here's what Backyard Barney would try, though.  Make a puller out of some threaded rod, some nuts & washers, a small bushing driver bit, and a piece of pipe. Installation would be the reverse using the threaded rod to push the new bushing in.

I was thinking the same thing.  Never heard of anyone changing one out. I would probably do the same thing you said.  Thanks for the reply...

     I'm thinking that it'd be a real good idea to heat the case half before attempting to remove or install that bushing.  Bill
