Mild sumping

Sumping runs oil temperature up fast and high. I assume that is happening too.
After checking for sump oil consider just taking the pump out for an inspection, alignment and new seals.

   Both of the above.  As a new build the piston oilers may be a consideration too.  Unfortunately that is a tougher call without a hands on look.  Others may have a cranking oil pressure test that is useful to determine if they are being a leaking problem.
