DTT spark mode

I've been browsing the sticky topics and search for spark mode on the DTT 1008 ignition for MM conversion. Should the DTT be set to single (0) or multi spark mode (1) in this application. Does it matter? Seems to be a few that say they couldn't tell the difference between the two settings. DTT recommends multi spark mode for the initial setting.
