I changed my cam yesterday and when adjusting the rear pushrods (doing these first as both lifters are down all the way) I brain farted and after 0 lash, tightened them 4.4 turns (24tpi) instead of 2.4 turns. I realized this after waiting about 10 minutes.
Instead of backing them up 2 turns I panicked and loosened them way up.
They have sat all night like this. So now my question is, can I go ahead and re adjust them or, because I loaded them up too much, is there something I need to do to get back to ground zero.   :bf: :bf:   :banghead:

Just pay close attention, and use good lighting. The key is to bring the pushrod to zero lash, just contacting the cup in the lifter, without moving the cup away from the circlip.
Since you already depressed the cup once, the oil is pushed out of the lifter and the feel may be much lighter.

Thanx. This is my 1st bike with hydraulics. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to cause any damage riding it down the road.
