Are these solid units for a street friendly 117 or 124 build?

Yes they work well, and have used so many now, we stock both early and late.

Are the Daytona pumps also sold under the brand "Harddrive"? Or is that a different pump?

I'm having trouble finding the Daytona pump for the 99-06 bikes.

  Are they make in China.

YES and an oil pump is not something that I would try and save a few bucks on.

I have used them in the past never a problem. What I like about the Daytona Pump is you can use them on a severely galled cam plate. The Daytona with its own backing plate cover negates the need for a new backing plate. Those plates are not cheap especially the billet ones.

Someone else will have to chime in what wholesalers are utilizing them under their branding.

I remember the first Thayer I bought (his shop isn't too far from me).

The thing was a work of art, it was almost a shame to hide it inside a motor lol
