Burly outlaw fairing.

Looking to block some wind off my chest and head on my 08 train (and want to be as low profile as possible). Does the Burly outlaw actually accomplish this, or is it just for looks? Any other suggestions if the Burly is not ideal? The ones off the breakout look good but too don't look like they do much for actual riding.
