Hello all,
I have a 1998 ultra classic that is fuel injected.
A few days ago when I went out to try to ride it, the bike would not start. I noticed that the red engine light didn't turn on as usual at the beginning. Also I did not hear the fuel pump turning on. I checked the fuses in the relays, everything looks good.

The engine does turn in seems like it wants to crank, but doesn't.

Any other test I can run?

This may or may not help You...take a look in the "General" section here, and read the "06 Street Glide Won't Start".  Might be something there for You.  Battery Good?

Welcome to HTT.

If it has been sitting for a while the clock (and security system if you have it) will drain the battery down. Dirty battery posts will do what you describe too.  Check the easy stuff first.  Battery voltage at rest and with the switch on.  Also when trying to crank it over.  Do your running lights come on and stay on when you hit the starter button.  They may dim but shouldn't go out.

If the engine is not turning over, charge or replace the battery.
If the government gives you everything you want,
it can take away everything you have.

If memory serves me right, the MM EFI required a minimum of 11.7 V for the ECU to power up the fuel pump. Check your voltage drop when starter activates.
