Greetings to all.
I have a 2013 SG. I have the inner fairing painted to match the motorcycle color. I removed the inner  fairing cap assembly and took apart the Fork Knob assembly. When I put it back, I did not check if the key fit in it and now the key does not fit in the lockset. Since the FOB works, and the motorcycle runs, at the time,  I did not care to fix them. Now I want to do it right.
What is the easy way to do this? Do I need to remove the inner fairing? How do I align the keyhole with the ignition switch housing to have the key fit? What do I need to look for to have this job done right?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

When you took the switch apart originally you would have had to turn the key counerclockwise 60 degrees from the normal off postion.to release the tab underneath that keeps the switch in place.  Check to see if something is still out of place with the key position as it affects the tab.
