I found a set of s&s cylinders off a 124 build that was done on a 88 motor. Anyone know if these would work on a 103 124 build using 4 5/8 crank of course?
Thanks in advance.

They will interchange.

Why S&S has two part numbers, the early '99 to '06 applications they sell cylinders that are 5.013" in length. The late TC cylinders are 5.004". That all has to do with OEM and S&S rod length. Early is 7.667" late is 7.659". You adjust deck height by machining the cylinder or base gasket thickness, or both.

Just make sure they're not 117" cylinders, which are much shorter.

Thanks much! I will go check them out today. He is asking 250 for both of them, we will see if they are straight. I was not sure if stud spacing changed and of cylinder length which you answered.

There is such a thing as S&S bolt pattern. Those cylinders won't fit OEM cases. Take a head or base gasket if you have one.

Picked up cylinders last night, they are 5.013 early twin cam. Going to need at least * .010  piston.

Takes a 1.050 ch piston. Not common shelf stock unless you consider S&S oversized pistons.

I spoke with Randy Torgeson today , ordered a set of 124" pistons. I need 14cc domes, he doesn't keep that large in stock. He does stock some 4cc, I think 8cc and can machine them lower if needed. Randy said CP is about 12 to 15 weeks out right now.

Another 124" Ray. This one has 97cc heads, should set me at 12.2 compression.

I'm taking my 124" out of the Street Glide and putting it in my Ultra. It's a smooth running motor, can't bring myself to open it up. So the Street Glide gets an all new motor, new cases and up, all new. Burns pipe, HPI 62mm.

sounds like an excellent retirement project for you!

I think so.

Between waiting on pistons, new S&S cases, it'll probably be the end of the year before I get started. I did get new cylinders already, someone in Kansas had them in stock!

I see you have 640 cams on your chart. If you don't have them already I've got a set of them in gear drive that I ran for a summer. If you need them you can have them.

I appreciate it Ray, I have set I bought a few years ago and haven't used them yet.
