Looking to put this engine in that bike, but the catalog says that part number 19221-15 (the crate engine) fits 2010 - 2016 Touring.  Does anyone know what the incompatibility is with the 2008 E-Glide Classic?

It's a software issue, because they have to be able to support the dealers. Dealers need to be able to install/flash/enjoy, and HD doesn't have a SE Super Tuner or SE Street Tuner map for the 120ST & old narrow band sensors. They do have a base map for the small narrow band sensors (2010 and newer).
Physically, it will work. Tune device will be up to you.
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

Oh!  So, I just get a Power Vision and I'll be fine, right?

Lots of options. PV, Direct Link, TTS, or the old SE race tuner (use the 176sbm012 map set to 120"). Just need to be able to calibrate the ECM to the components involved.
