I got a evo motor looking for the serial #. The #'s on the left side under the cylinders is BLLWO2O396. There is no #'s on the right side in front of the lifter block. Any idea what these cases might be and year? Any help would be appreciated.

Engines use specific portions of the vehicles VIN.
BLLWO2O396
BL is the model
L is the engine designation
W is the year
020396 is the sequence number
VIN of the bike it came from would be 1HD1BLL1XWY020396
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?
