I have a '00 FXDX with basically a stage 1, and the SE hydraulic cam plate in it. I was thinking of installing either a 21 or 26 Andrews and was wondering if just this cam change will noticeably increase any vibration.
Thanks. You cannot see attachments on this board.

Both are great cams, I just put a set of 21's in a 2005 FatBoy and he loves them, no added vibration.

I put 21s in my 99 FLHT way back when.  No vibration increase.  Still got them today, kept them when I went from 88 to 95 ci.

:agree:      I had the 21's in my 99 RK when it was 88". Great torque for a heavier bike. I've never run the 26's but I'm pretty certain that you'd like them better in your bike.

26 in a 2000 95" B motor softail. They don't vibrate anyway so, no change of course!
LOL
Easy to tune (carb bike) easy to ride, very well mannered bike!
Yes, I like the 26

With a proper fuel curve either of these cams will greatly improve drivability and low end torque.

Have been running the 26N in my 02 RK for years. Very satisfied. Smooth and steady.  :smiled:

Been running a 26 in 02 flhtci for several years. Runs as smooth as stock and has more power. It makes passing a car running 50 a no down shift thing.

21's are our go-to in a cam-only 88".
Smooth as silk, particularly after a good tune.

Hillside, would you recommend the 21 or 26 in a Dyna chassis? I probably won't do anything other than the cam to it and usually shift around 5200 when I'm on the gas hard with isn't that often.  Just looking for something to make her a bit lighter on her feet.

I had a 21 in a 9.3-1 95"FXD with mild head work. There was nothing after 4800

I used the 26's ......  always good reults

I'm an ev46 guy, just because I like rpm, I hate when the motor falls off before redline.
I admit I have issues... 😶

The 21s will perk things up nicely.
I rev my FLTRI to 6000rpm when really going for it.

Received wisdom prefers the 26s in lighter bikes like yours, and DO put aside some money for a better exhaust!
