FXR Primary cover.. what fits?

Hi All

I had a problem with my FXR again... Starter ring on the clutch cracked and a bit fell off... End result is a broken outer primary    I'm not having much luck with this thing at all but will give it one last try 

So my bike is a 1989 and I was wondering what covers fit it and what changed over the years. Any experts out there on covers at all?

IIRC FXR and FLT outer cover 89-93 is the same.

Pre-89 had different starter system and bolt pattern, 94-later had different jackshaft bearing dimensions.

89 to 93 FXR Or FL fits it. 

As far as new goes, its mostly VTwin stuff out there.  Make sure you have a look at the drain log before you put it on.  Some of the holes are so poorly drilled that they wont seal up.  Pretty easy fix on the drill press.  Not so much on the scooter.

yes, you are right.. its a 60606-89 cover which is 89 to 93 ish... not chromed but polished... Not much about in the UK.. will try weld it first and see how that goes....
