Has anybody successfuly bored and ran a 117" motor based on SE 113 jugs? The 113 spigot is about 4.242" diameter with 0.090" wall thickness so once bored to 4.125" they would reduce to about 0.58" wall thickness - too thin? I've done a couple of 113's years ago with bored CVO 110 jugs and they're still running around with no problems. Can't remember the stock dimensions though .. Thanks!

The farthest I ever took one is 4.085".
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

I did that with the SE 4.060 cylinders and had no issues. We used a set of seasoned cylinders to start with and when it was pulled down again about 10k later for another issue everything was still good. Motor made 145/145 and wasn't babied.
