Whats the difference between Redline 42804 V twin transmisson oil black bottle and Red line 58204 Heavy shockproofgear oil white bottle . The company website and other sources are vague on the weight of the oil. One source said its the same product. I've used both and not noticed any difference. Just wanted to know if anyone knows of a difference.

They're the same.

Looking around, came across this note on an Ebay sellers page.  To slippery ?  Reminds me of when some used to say full syn oil was to slippery for roller bearings..
Red Line Heavy ShockProof Gear Oil - 1 Quart - PN: 58204

Film thickness greater than an SAE 75W250, yet low fluid friction like 75W90

For heavily-loaded racing differentials and transmissions, problem gearboxes

Many performance racing applications like Sprint/Midget/Dirt Late Model Differentials, Detroit Lockers and spools, NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car rear ends

Not recommended for most synchro applications due to the product's extreme slipperiness
where's the points and condenser ?<br />Tom / aka motor

No synchronizers in our motorcycle transmissions.  That's why they clunk!
