PRESS Release

MotorCycle Cruise Controls in Australia (MCCruise) have been making fully electronic cruise controls for motorcycles since 1997. With 25 years of product and software evolution behind them, these kits deliver extraordinary performance and reliability. With over 250 model-specific products for motorcycles, several hundred precision slow speed cruise controls for ATVs and side-by-sides and a range of speed limiters for ATVs and UTVs, the company has evolved into a specialist in their field with unparalleled experience.

Harley-Davidson never made a cruise control for their Dynas and Softails up to the introduction of throttle-by-wire bikes.  Despite that, the factory Touring bike throttle bodies were widely fitted to the Dynas and Softails.

MCCruise utilises this mechanism to make installation on these bikes simple.

With the demise of Cruisemount in Kansas and the unavailability of OEM spares for cruise control failures on Harley-Davidson Tourers, MCCruise offers a retrofit, electronic cruise control for these models, when and if your OEM product fails.

There were a couple of early design cruise levers made before Harley-Davidson settled on the design around 2007-8 shown here on the throttle body on a Dyna:

There is no place to 'hide' a servo on the Dynas and Softails, which is probably why Harley never developed a cruise control for them, but our servo is not impossibly intrusive and often becomes a talking point at rest stops.

The brochure and COMPLETE instructions can be found at this link on our web site: MCCruise range of Harley-Davidson electronic cruise controls with links from individual products to our PDFs in our DropBox.

We believe Touring HDs back to the mid 1990s had a cruise control lever and our kits can readily be adapted to these bikes. We also understand that the earlier lever/s may have been fitted to some earlier Dynas and Softails, but the only way to be sure is to check you bike. The next three images show one of the older-style cruise levers:

The staff at MCCruise look forward to assisting you in extending your range (by a substantial amount in almost all instances), and enhancing your enjoyment riding long or short distances. Savings from only one or two inadvertent speeding fines often pays for the unit in its entirety. If the USA is anything like Oz with radar traps and police presence, you will likely find your MCCruise pays for itself in no time. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions, but we have done everything possible to provide all you need on our web site.

Also note that we are seeking to develop a network of capable installers across the USA drawing on the experience of the many independent Harley service and repair shops across Canada and the USA.  Our first one can be found here: Doerfler's Moto Supply LLC in Hays Kansas. MCCruise can deliver substantial new business to your shop as product awareness grows that these units exist - AND are rock-solid reliable with extraordinary performance.
