I do have that info.

Quote from: Ohio HD on August 19, 2023, 04:04:15 PMI finally got a chance to spin a wrench on my stuff. I pulled three green out and put three gold in their place. Lever pull is a lot lighter in my opinion. I just hope that it holds. The bike needs washed so I'll try to get that done tomorrow and take a spin to see how they are.

I was thinking while changing them, I guess a guy could have four of one color and two of another. I don't see where that would hurt any thing. The pressure plate is billet, and strong. Anyone ever go four and two?

I thought about the 4 & 2 ,  didn't try it. I did ask Barnett about it they said do 3&3 ??? But I don't see why I couldn't go 4&2 with the two being opposite of each other ???
But so far the atf seems to be doing what I needed. If I feel some slip I might try the 4&2 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don't see where it would be an issue. The pressure plate and clutch hub are ridged enough that they shouldn't care. The clutch discs really don't care, they get the force of the pressure plate.

Heck the old Pan and Shovels used three adjustment nuts on ten clutch springs, so it wasn't even close to even pressure. They ran fine all day long and had a stamped steel spring retainer. Of course they had less spring pressure for the most part, but still.

My 95' Road King, with my 127" Ultima, 150 X 151 uses 3 green, and 3 gold. No issues, a lot of miles, and reasonable lever pull. :up:You cannot see attachments on this board.

I'm thinking I'm going to try the 4 & 2 springs.  Put on 300 miles yesterday, after beating on it a little I was getting some slippage again. Also noticed that the clutch cable gap at the perch wasn't getting bigger as every thing heated up ?? Had a dime gap and it never changed. Going to re-adjust the clutch.  At the clutch,  not just the cable , we'll see how that goes.

The least expensive ATF type F. (Walmart brand). Never an issue.
