I've been breaking in my new Heritage over the past couple of days. I notice when idling hot the engine occasionally 'shudders' momentarily. I can't hear any sound; I just feel a quick  shudder. It almost feels like there is water in the gas, but I doubt it. Otherwise, it runs great; lots of power and acceleration. I should finish the initial break-in tomorrow, and I'll be keeping an eye on it. I'm just wondering whether anyone else has had this issue. Still all stock. TIA

Are there any changes to the engine build and have you tuned it at all before running it on the road?

Nope, it is off the showroom floor. Everything is stock and no tuning. I plan to use a Dynojet tune for stage 1 after break-in. I'll need to get the bike added to my Powervision.

Did you check to see if EITMS is on?
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

EITMS is disabled. I've only been riding in cooler weather, so I don't think it would have been triggered anyway. Hopefully, I'll be riding today and pay more attention to it. Thanks.

I've noticed on new Milwaukee Eights, that the idle speed changes sitting at lights. It goes on mine from about 850 to about 1200 rpm and back-and-forth. I don't know if that's because I have it modified and dyno tuned, but i've heard it on a lot of other bikes too

Maybe it's similar to what Harley did with the 07 twin cams, ie; build in some semi random behavior to make the idle seem more 'real Harley'?

Thanks
Pauly
