Had the bike on the lift for new intake seals.  Unbolted tank seat side and raised up for access.  Put back together.  Move everything back and found this on the floor.  Not much else it could be from.  Is it off my bike?

It's got 3 little pin holes in one side, like it's half of a connector or something.   It's rubber not plastic.

Looks like a rubber strip from a 3-strip shifter peg

Tacocaster

I know it's not but the 3-hole side looks like one of the rubber grommets that semi-wraps around the handle bars as found on Inner Fairings (on Touring models, that's why it's not but that side sure does look like one).
We're all A-holes. It's to what degree that makes us different.

on.

Great catch.   Actually off foot peg.  What's something good to use to keep it in there now that it's come off once?

I think I have some black RTV...
