Hello,
My name is Seth I have a 1980 FLT. I have zero mechanical experience and want to learn. I got a project bike, I made sure I heard it run first. I would love to learn as much as you guys would be willing to teach me so I can get on the road. I got the bike as a good way to relieve stress. I had a Harley in the past when I was in the Military but had two son's and my brother in law totaled it. Instead of buying another bike I used the money for my boys. My 1980 FLT has a heritage Softail front end and a Dyna low rider tank. I heard of people converting this bike to have more of a Roadking style to it. Would love to understand how to do that. I am happy to be a member and look forward to talking and gaining as much knowledge as I can from all of you.

Howdy, welcome from Montana.

It sounds like you have an interesting bike there. You'll definitely want to do some reading and searching through the tech sections.
