I recently had my 2020 road glide special 114 dynoed. My dyno guy informed me he does dyno pulls in 4th gear. Something about overspinning the tire. He told me the numbers are going to reflect a lower than actual number because of the lower gear being used. To be quite honest I was a little disappointed based off of what I had in the motor. A rs468 cam, hpi 62mm throttle body, hpi ported and polished intake manifold, 5.5 injectors, feuling B/A air cleaner and a D&D billet cat exhaust.  my 4th gear numbers were hp105.98/tq118.96. He had told me that to get a closer number to what a 6th gear pull would show I would have to add between 10-12 percent to those numbers. using 12 percent that would put me at like hp118.69/tq133.23 which is pretty close to what i would expect. As far as the dyno graph, the torque curve was as flat as a table top and the horsepower totally smooth. The afr lines were completely flat also hovering right at 13.5 the whole way. the bike runs and especially feels quite powerful. The tuner even mentioned on his test drive it felt more like a 124 than a 114. Anyone know if there is any merit to the numbers being skewed by that much using a 4th gear pull instead of 6th gear?

5-6% per gear is a good rule of thumb for 5th to 6th.  I haven't done a lot of comparisons from 4th to 6th but the gear ratio drop of about 15% is the same from 4th to 5th as is 5th to 6th.

So in your estimation 10-12 percent over two gears would be possible?

It's reasonable and puts it at doable numbers for the build.  Big thing though is that you like how it turned out.
