2013 Ultra Limited with 120ST. I'm not sure how the right way to describe the issue, but here goes. Mainly when hot the engine kind of lurches every 3 to 6 seconds. Raising the RPM's up to about 1100 makes it a lot better. I had the bike dynotuned, but I don't think the tuner knew what he was doing. Power wasn't too impressive 108 hp, 118 torque.
ever since I had it tuned (about 3 years) I've had a lot of decel popping. I fixed that by watching videos on youtube, so now I want to see if I can take care of the hot idle issue.

The fuel mileage seems to be too low, so I'm thinking maybe I need to lean it out some. I've got a Power Vision so I was thinking about just using the quick tune and lean out the lower RPM by 1% increments.

Does that sound reasonable? If I change it about 6% and see no difference, I'll probably just go back to 0% and try something else.

You may end up having some success doing that. But in the end I think you need to have a proper dyno tune. If you look at the dyno sheet in the link below, you are down quite a bit from what the 120ST should give you. He also has a really good exhaust system.

Agree with Ohio on getting a proper dyno tune done, not that I think you couldn't get it better yourself but going by what you have stated it would be quite a learning curve for you to get there, if you have the time then fair enough but road tuning is not as easy as some would have you believe.

I agree it would be nice to get a professional that knows what he is doing. That's what I thought I was doing the first time I had it dyno'd.

I may not get every last bit of power out of it, but at this point I just want to fix this idle issue. Back in the day I used to swap jets out and adjust the carb this way and didn't know any better. I can always put the original tune back in and bring it to a tuner.

I did call one tuner that I trusted and he told me to sell the bike.

I've not used powervision so I'm not sure what they call their tables exactly but if it's just hot idle  that it's occurring in you could likely gather data and make some corrections based on that, the TTS tuning guide has some in depth how to's regarding this, tables may not have the same name but the procedure would be close, worth a look anyway.
