I've seen this TSB mentioned quite a bit.

I know it concerns fluid transfer on the Touring bikes.

My question for the Brain trust here is,
Can this be performed on a 2018 Breakout?
I have no symptoms of fluid transfer on my bike at this time.
But, I'm going to replace the compensator before riding season starts and figured while I was in there, what could it hurt?

The bike has a mild build and I do all my own work
Woods 22XE, 55mm intake, 5.5 injectors, S&S SuperStreet with no cat and an Arlen Ness high flow oval filter.

Thanks in advance for your help

Didn't see that issue with the softails, but did see it on the touring models (a lot).
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

IIRC your inner primary design is a little different configuration than the touring models and the HD rubber hose assembly may not fit. If you don't have an oil transfer (not common on your bike) I would leave it alone.

The latest HD touring line STILL has the little hose.

So there's nobody here that has performed this up-date on a 2018-ish Soft tail?
Is the primary case on a Soft tail different than the one on touring models?
To me, it seems like cheap insurance at a reasonable price.

2018 Softail bikes use a cable operated clutch. The earlier M8 models that had fluid transfer to the primary are due to the hydraulic clutch setup that the touring bikes used. in 2021 the touring bikes went back to a cable clutch and solved the issue. Adding the vent shouldn't hurt anything, but it won't solve any problem that you don't have now.

If it works, don't fix it.

Here is what and where the touring inner looks like.  The gasket only follows the outside and not the inside of the "chamber."

Can't hurt anything besides leak.

Thanks for taking the time to reply about the differences in clutch actuation being part of the problem.
And posting a photo of the area where the vent is installed.

I tried looking at various diagrams of different years on the SIPS site but the diagrams were sorta generic in nature.
It ain't broke so I won't concern myself with doing it.

I asked because in all the years I spent in automotive repair, if there was an "update" available and overlapping labor for something we were already there for, I'd always give my customers the option and cost of doing it.

Thanks for your help guys.
