Hi,

By the time I get into my cam replacement (once bike is out of warranty), I'll be replacing the cam chain tensioner because "why wouldn't I" while I have the cam chest open.
I like some of the features of the S&S chain tensioners.

As the subject suggests, can anyone advise if these will be ok on a stock cam plate?

Thanks
Pauly

Yes, by their item description and fitment, the 330-0737 chain tensioner will fit 2017 and up M8 motors.

The stock HD tensioners also fit the S&S cam plates, so they are interchangeable.

S&S gets rich from people who say "why wouldn't I" my stock tensioner showed minimal wear @ 152K miles, all but 18K with a S&S 475 cam. The chain showed a little stretch so I replaced that with a new stock chain, it won't hurt to replace it, but not needed.

Hi DTTJglide,
Maybe, but I just hate taking exhausts off, so when I do, I'll replace wear items to delay the next exhaust removal.

Thanks

DTTJGlide, you were so right...
Picked up the Cam chain tensioner today....Holy "Potty mouth"balls! An OEM tensioner is $54... The S&S one is $199 Ffffaaaark! I paid the money, but I was surprised to be paying nearly 4 times the cost of a Harley one. I should have checked beforehand but didn't think it would be so much more.

Thanks
Pauly
