Question for the group -

Bike is a 17 CVO limited with 80k miles.  Had an issue I've been trying to track down.  Long story short, need a new top end, cylinders, pistons.  Heads could probably be reworked.

That brings me to my question.  Besides the granite color of the CVO engine, is there any difference mechanically?  I'm not interested in going bigger, just need to see what my options are.  I see a lot of take-offs of others that went with bigger builds.  It is twin-cooled so I know that matters.  Can I take a set of heads, cylinders and pistons from say a 18,19,20,21 and bolt onto my 17.  The more I think about it, I don't really care that the color will be different.  I'm just looking at the fastest (and cheapest way to get her back up and running).

This is the front cylinder.  Lead down test showed 13% on front 4% on rear.

Thanks for your time.  Here are a couple of pics of what I found when tearing her down.

2017 CVO is 114?  You can bore out your cylinders.  Plenty of oversize pistons on market and the cylinder can go a bit over 4.125.  So, you can get 120 out of it.  They do offer .010 over which is cheapest option.

I agree. Bore it .010 over and get the heads rebuilt. I bet it wouldn't be much more than buying used parts.
