prolube question i know

so been seeing a ton of videos on this stuff , just wondering if its just bull the tests look real and it looks like it does something good , i know oil crap thread just wondering if anyone else seen these , they compare lucas and slick 50 revamped, and so on , just wondering if a couple ounces would hurt anything

The only way I can answer that maybe helpful is, call a support engineer at the company who's oil you're using. Then tell them what you want to add to the oil, and what you expect to get from that added chemical. Most people never think about what it may do negatively to the oil you're using.

I use no additives in my oil. Ask around as well as to who lost their engine from only oil use of the proper weight. It's never an oil problem, rather an overheated condition the motor inflicts on the oil.

That would be my thought as well.

The only time I'd really consider some type of additive is if the motor is cooked anyway, rod knocking or burning oil. At that point what have you got to lose.

I used to put a Moly Lube additive in my transmissions and diffs. Haven't for some time but have considered it in my SE transmission.
