Friends got a heritage and needs a rear wheel, what years will interchange and will a road king wheel fit? something that will work with all his hardware. He's pretty big was thinking maybe a cast wheel.

He could fit a 2000 up 3/4 bearing Night Train Wheel . 150-80-16 tyre . The rim is 3" . If he wants cast or same a fat boy wheel .

Roadking wheel will not fit.  JSD is right, Fatboy solid wheel would be a great choice.

I'm a spoke guy on Heritages. Your friend's went 22 years, I'd look to put on another.

I replaced my spoke wheel with a fatboy solid on my 2000 heritage years ago
I had it polished and it still looks great!

We had a rider split his rear spoked wheel years ago, 2up and loaded heavy. Never seen a wheel rim split like that!

No brainer IMO.

Wow, I have never heard of a rim splitting.  My wife has an 09 Heritage with just over 100K on it.  Tub-less spoked rims. Not ridden much the last 10 years as she has a Road Glide for travel.

Well picked up a spoked wheel from a 2002 roadking, changed the bearings to 3/4". Bolted the sprocket and brake rotor on and put on the bike. Took it for a ride not a problem?

Did you change the bearing center spacer to a 3/4" also?

roadkingdresser
