Hi there. Needing some input on this code my bike is showing. Ive looked up the code and did see it to be the map sensor reading high. I've also read that there are many other causes that could be the problem other than a faulty map sensor. I've taken the air cleaner off and cleaned up everything that can be cleaned. We have actually changed the map sensor, replaced cracked breather tubes, found a busted line that goes to the intake and replaced that. Checked for vacuum leak, changed fuel injectors and checked wiring going to the sensor. So far nothing has been the answer. Yesterday when I found the old busted line to the intake I was so happy thinking that had been the problem just to get on the bike and have the code come back up. The check engine light will come on for just a second then go off and occasionally light up but never stays on. I had it in a shop for two weeks just to have it returned to me with the same problem. Im frustrated to say the least. Hoping maybe someone might have some sort of information that might help lead me in the right direction. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Other more salient suggestions will follow, certainly but in the meantime, have you tried running the engine without the breather installed? It might be dirty/restrictive/overly oiled. Check for your code to reappear.

Also, how do the throttle body internals look inside? Dirty/oily? Might benefit from a good cleaning if yes.
We're all A-holes. It's to what degree that makes us different.

I'd be looking at the MAP wires where they go into the backbone bundle. If the wire is broken, that is the code you'll get.

If you have a tuning device, monitor MAP and wiggle those wires around.

These are the three wires, and where they go to the ECM. I've also seen the wires break causing the P0108 code. Mainly in baggers with rubber mounted drivetrain, but the Softails can also have the same issue.
