I want to put on some rockerbox chrome trim that I saw on my 99 Sporty (4 pcs. cover up rockerboxes)-Looks like you just take out the top 8 rockerbox bolts -put on trim -and re-install with provided chrome bolts-It SAYS "simple installation"-My question is, will I have to remove the tank for clearance, and I don't have a rockerbox torque wrench, is tightening by feel going to be good enough??-Just trying to figure if I should attempt this-THANKS

You "might" have to pull the tank depending on the clearance needed for the covers.  You also might be able to get the bolts out with the tank on, but will probably need to cut an allen down to get the bolts out.  For some reason, I'm thinking allens are involved in this.  However, if you are afraid of what you may encounter, keep in mind anytime you loosen bolts that hold gaskets in place there is a risk of causing a leak.  Be prepared to go deeper than you expect if you wind up with a gasket that does not reseal correctly or tears while you are jiggling stuff around.

I think I'd like to torque those bolts rather than guess at it.  You'd be surprised how much oil can come out of a leaking rocker box....
