I heard today that with the Road Glide going away next year, HD is replacing it with a new model that uses the frame mounted fairing, but also comes with lowers and a tourpak. Sort of like an Ultra, but with the fixed fairing. I have no more info, and this could be all hot air. Just thought I'd throw it out there.   :potstir:

We have enough youth, what we need is a fountain of SMART!

The TourGlide Ultra. It's like deja vu all over again. :teeth:

I've said for a long time if they added a tourpak and lowers and other Ultra equipment to the Road Glide I would be interested in one.  I like the RG, just can't handle having to throw another $2500 or more at it to get it where I want it....  and then not being able to get any of that back out of it at trade in time.   I might be interested in a Tour Glide Ultra if it does in fact come back.

That's what was suggested to me by a dealership employee...but who knows.

Like an SERG without the SE price, ohh don't freaking tease me.  Besides the SE 110 is not all worked out yet is it, how many years now for sale to the public...Anyone make one run without serious mods, my Brother never modifies his HD motors, he did that one.  But the RG with Ultra Equipment, I am liking it, chopped trunk though.

I traded a 2003 Ultra for a 2005 Road Glide. I bit the bullet and added the full Ultra TourPak, speakers/amp, and Lowers but I didn't get the inserts for the lowers so no storage in the lowers (I never used them in the Ultra).

I never looked back, I typically put 10k on each summer and the RG is a way better touring bike than an Ultra. The seating position is much more comfortable; not so straight-up/90 degree knees. I don't regret spending the extra money, this will probably be the last HD touring bike I ever buy so trade in is a non issue.

At my age my next purchase will probably be a Tri-Glide

Rumor will be known in a month. I have heard the same from several sources.  Also the CVO will be a Street Glide.

Too much horsepower is almost enough.
