Posted this also in General Thread....I'm in the market for a new 09 Street Glide and not to be nosy or anything I'm wondering what you paid so I can use that as a bargaining tool.......MSRP is $18,999 and I just got a quote of $18,499 plus 270 for cruise control and our adm. fee is 299. So that brings it to just over $19,000....I'm paying CASH 100% down 0 % financing...Also whats your opinion of the bike good ,bad or otherwise.....Thanx

I don't own a Street Glide, but I do love the look of one. I think they are priced high because they "look cool"  :smiled: almost like a factory custom. And with that you pay more for it. My trunk is detachable and I have my bike lower to the same level and also the mirrors. I don't have the sliver gauges.

I'd say it's high if you are going to pay TTT on top.

you should be 1500 MSRP on the bike JMO

Got my RG out the door under MSRP including TTT plus a full detachable 4 point kit and backrest.

No recent personal experience, but I'd shop around.  It sounds like they're not bargaining very much; and bargains are out there in this economy.  Too many people getting good deals well below MSRP.

Also, see what their price would be if you finance the bike.  I think they get a kickback. When I bought my Dyna in 2003, their lowest price included financing; they wouldn't come down if not financed through HD.  So I financed and paid it off in 30 days.

I just bought an 09 SG with limited 2-tone color and paid close to list. I really like the SG because of the stripped down look. They are also the most popular model around here no significant discounts. Other touring models especially classics and RGs are discounted more. I expect pricing will also vary depending on where you live.  Phil

the dealers here in the tri state are about 1000 below msrp.

My Ohio dealer has told me that ONLY the touring models are selling.  And... they are selling very well.  With that in mind, one wouldn't be able to get ANY kind of a break on the most popular of the touring models around here.
Oh No!
