Hi guys,
I will be traveling from TX to SC on I 40
What will be your recommendation for ribs and brisket BBQ between Memphis and Nashville,
with easy access from I 40 and fast service?

Thanks for advice
Alek

From what I hear, he has the best ribs in Memphis!

The ribs are in Memphis, on Beale St. across from B.B. Kings place.

Another vote here for member "bbqimaki".
The place is biker friendly, the owner rides.

A detour off I-40 at exit 93 go right off I-40 and in a mile when road deadends take a left, go about 15 miles and you will enter Lexington, first buisness on right is Scott's Bar B Que, pull in. Open everyday cept Sunday and Monday, doubt you will be lucky enough to get any ribs but you can try. Tell them you are coming from Texas to SC and someone named Graves told you to stop and check out the Que. It will be quick service I assure you. You can then go to the fifth red light and take a left on hwy 22 north and in 9 miles be back on I 40 headed for Nashville. All in all it is about 10 miles outta your way. Memphis Que is good but it has that commercial factor to it. Our place is just simple Que, chips, beans if ya want, and coke.

Little Rock, Ar. has a couple (at least) Whole Hog Cafe's, and I think Memphis has one also.  Their ribs are the best I have ever had.  Check out their website for their location(s).

bbqjmaki will most likely send you to "Fat Larry's", which is very good.  There are only like 300 Bar-B-Q places in Memphis so there is a lot to choose from.  If you are going to be downtown there is the "Rendevous", which sometimes has a wait to get into.

Some of the best placees you would not send a stranger to, nor would I go there at night.

One thing that you will not find a lot of in Memphis is brisket though, mostly pork here.
