Anyone heard of a SE

lifter failing prematurely?  My front intake lifter grenaded at 3,700 miles, took out the cam and oil pump.  I'm trying to get a feel for what might have happened.  Thanks very much.

I believe the S/E units were/are repackaged JIMS lifters. As good as JIMS stuff usually is I know several folks that don't run their lifters. FWIW I always had great success with H-D stockers -83Bs in even the most "radical" of setups. TK.

I've had great luck with HD stock lifters and S&S lifters......   

I have friends that have had failures of both SE and JIMS lifters...
