I have a Garmin Nuvi 550 and a 560. I use the 550 on the bike with a Ram mount. Love it. No issues to date and it works very well. You do need to adjust the contrast while it's on the bike as the sun will affect the view of it. Also it's impossible to hear the little lady tell you where to turn but at the top of the screen are also written directions as to where to turn and at the bottom right, how far you will travel before your next turn or to the next way point. I use the 560 in the truck but have to date not been able to make the bluetooth pair with my Blackberry. Not really interested in that feature as it is more of a PITA than anything and hard to hear. I just use my ear bud if I need Bluetooth.
I got my Ram mount at a rally anf for the complete setup with holder specific to my Nuvi and the mounting adapter and all for $37.00. You won't find one on the net for that price I doubt so if you are going to a rally then look around for vendors selling the Ram Mounts. You will most likely get a very good deal on them there. Good luck, happy travels and Ride Invisible. Spidey.
You can ride my hoss, Ride my woman but don't ever ride my bike.

sure thing Rick, and everyone else that might be interested. It was my stupidity for not posting it in the first place!

Never had a problem with the old Rand McNally.
Never ride faster then your angel can fly.

me either Wing and I still carry one and always will, BUT I've been in buttf**K, Montana on some freakin' road, searching for gas when I hit reserve and then 20 miles into my reserve still no gas or road that looks like it might lead to a main road at 10PM. More then once I've been in that situation and knowing where the closest gas is would have saved my ass. Rand just can't do that for me and I just love riding those kinda roads by myself, so the GPS will be a great solution for me when I'm off on those adventures which are the best ones for me.
