Can't believe I'm going to say this because I usually don't buy squat in the line of cloths from a H/D dealer but I did buy a very nice Nylon/Cadora, Vented/Armored jacket from them. Did I mention it was on sale. :teeth:

I've seen the same ones without the High Dollar logo for 1/2 the price at a local indie bike shop. The gray jacket, right RK? Those look pretty good, and the functional design is great.

I guess I just have a problem giving my regular local stealer a nickel of my cash...especially after I made an offer on a bike the other day, and the GM thought he was going to be a comedian by raising the price by $1,000. Screw them-I'll never spend another penny there, and refer all of my friends somewhere else. Sorry for the off track rant...

John the one I have is black and it does have the H/D Logo on the back. It a small logo though, not something that takes up the whole back of the jacket and makes you a Walkin ,Talkin ,Ridin H/D billboard. It sure isn't something you would want to wear in the winter around here, well maybe on not to cold of a day and a heated liner.LOL  For the spring, summer, and fall it's just a nice jacket with lots of vents and pocket and it's not heavy. I was kind of looking for a lighter jacket but not looking to seriously. This thing just kind of jump off the rack and onto my back. The SOB caught me off guard at a week moment when the price was right and I had the $ in my pocket.
I did do a trip up to Maine and the New England states this last past summer and on the highways I wore the jacket quite often and at the end of the day my old azz didn't seem so beat up from the wind and sun. I'm still amazed that I found a good deal at a Harley Dealer. Who'd a thought. :teeth:

I found a fxrg BUFFALO jacket, at a local dealer,,1/2price --plus an extra 15%off,,,it was an xxxx large and he had it for 3yrs,I guess someone ordered it and did'nt buy it.....Anyway I bought it and started call'in every dealer on the east coast, and I found one that would exchange it for a xx large....Then I found one who took that one,,and ordered me a large....It weighs about 47pounds,and the liner isnt very warm,,its all beat up from 5yrs of non-stop use,,,,But I love it.

I bought the Stealers First yrs edition of the transformer jacket.
It is a textile jacket with pannels that zip out. It has padding in the shoulders and elbows , but the back padding was extra. It also comes with a nylon plastic rain liner for when it decides to get wet, but here on the west coast it is hard to adjust to wet and warm or wet and cold.
I like it.
You might find a good deal on an FXRG jacket that someone has either outgrown or has sold thier ride for what ever reason. I know I have seen one or two in the swapmeet section you might be able to pick up for a little less than half price and hardly worn.

Steer clear of this jacket... take a look at their detailed photo and zoom in.  It's made up of a bunch of small leather scraps that are stiched together like patch work.  Looks ugly and won't hold up like a jacket made of larger pieces of leather.  Also if you zoom in on the tag... "Made in China".  Chinese tanning process are known to suck.  This is not a jacket that will last.
