I had a most wonderful experience at Wild West H-D in Lubbock, TX over the weekend.
Have a 2001 FLHT on the lift that the trans pulley came loose on and roasted the inner primary, main drive gear, puller, main seal, main bearing and so on. It also toasted the inner primary beyond repair.
called around and Wild West was the only ones that had the part so I bought it and rode over there to pick it up. I also needed to have my factory alarm married to the ECU and the fob programmed as well.
I asked them if they would have the time to slide me in while I was there to get the part and they said no problem. I decided that I would like to have a second fob as I have heard of problems with some of them so I asked if they had another one and wouldn't mind doing them both for me. They had no problem with that at all.
They had the bike all done in about 20 minutes and in and out the door. Even helped me carry my left saddlebag back out and put everything back on the bike. I told them I didn't mind doing it but they insisted on helping.
Total cost for the extra fob and the work they did, $74.89. Total overall experience at the dealer, Priceless.
I also wanted to throw in an extra bunch of kudos to Will and Marty in parts for their great help with having all the needed parts for the inner primary as well as helping us find good eats and a place to stay for the night.
Great folks and highly recommended. Thanks again to all at Wild West H-D, Lubbock, Texas. Spidey.

Spidey we had a similar GREAT experience with those folks - no more needed than an "on the road" oil change. We called ahead the same morning as we were approaching on our way from houston to Denver and they hooked us right up that afternoon.

Katfish,
I don't know how long it's been since you were there but they have remodeled the place and you should see their shop. Man you can eat off their floor. They expanded the entire store, parts department, bike sales area and boutique. It's all very nice and there wasn't one person there who wasn't just tickled pink to be of help to anyone who walked in the door. That's the way all dealers should be. Spidey.
