Going to try ATF in my '97 Dyna primary. Do I use Type F?

I've been using ATF F the past 2 months and noticed an improvement in shifting, it's worth changing to ATF.

I have been using Dexron type, I have heard the F will make the clutch hook up quicker. I decided on Dexron because my Truck and Cars us it. One less special lube to buy.

Thanks guys. I wondered if it made any difference. I have some type F here, so I'll use it.

Takwolf, absolutely worth trying ATF. I made the change several years ago and wouldn't consider anything else. Type F hooks up a bit quicker and you may notice a bigger 'clunk' engaging the first gear of the day but when it warms up you probably won't notice.

I run Dexron II in the Bargeglide and it's sweet....

Yeah, did a day on it, seems a bit smoother. No problems. I will probably stay with the ATF.
