Loosing my job and I am thinking of an European motorcycle tour? Need advice.

I cant help but wonder why anyone would want to spend $$$ in a foreign country when there are hundreds of thousands of back roads to ride around here in the USA and spend your money in this great country.  Maybe US economy isn't as bad as talking heads say every day 

When the Great Wall, Eiffel Tower, Picadilly Circus, Blarney Stone,  Omaha Beach, St. Peter's and the Coliseum move to the U.S., then I'll agree.  Ray

I wouldn't blame anyone for wanting to see all of America, I've seen probably 30% of it and like what I see so far. Scotland is only 500 miles from me and I only went once  can't say I've seen all of London and that's only 35 miles.
just remember this
life is short
this is no dummy run, you only get one shot
you never know what tomorrow brings, so don't be sitting in a retirement home thinking I wish I'd done this or that.
