Hey out there -

Saw a fella with a dyna on the weekend with 2 small bullet shaped speakers on his handlebars. Gave out good sound, Any ideas what they might be or what a similar make would be.?
I am thinking of putting this type of speaker on my bars and stashing some radio junk in a saddle bag to keep my bike looking clean. Dont care for the moco bar mounted ghetto blaster look.

Thanks.....E

Several years back, I made my own handlebar mounted speakers for my Road King.  I used regular passing lamps - take the innards out and regular sized speakers fit perfectly in there.  The speaker wires go out at the bottom through the hollow mounting bolts that are part of the passing lamps.  And I used clamps (normally used for highway pegs on the crash bars) to mount them to the handlebars.

After a while,a couple of years, I got tired of blasting music while riding so I took them off.  I still have them, should be in the garage somewhere.

Thanks for the reply.

Surprised there is only 1 reply. If this was an OT for a @$#%** dryer part there would be a thousand.

Nice to hear from a real rider. My 2 cents........E

I have a set of "roadrumble"  [I think the right name] speakers on my roadking.  They are pretty much what 14Frisco has built himself. Just a standard spotlight housing with an amplified speaker that attaches to the handlebar by a footpeg clamp and plugs into your MP3 player. I have seen smaller versions but not sure who makes them.  The ones I have work ok but with my small windshield and speeds above 65 they are not easily heard.  Also sitting still with the volume way up they sound crappy and not sure how long they will hold up.  TooLow.

Iknow a local with the Kuryakin speakers on his softail,,,kinda goofy lookin....Speakers for baggers, road kings, only ..Just my opinion...

When I had my softail, I bought two chrome driving light housings (available from JC Whitney). Then I got some round 4.25" speakers. JUst trimmed the corners a bit and trimmed the grill to match the lamp front ring. Added a couple of chrome bar mounts (JC as well) and mounted them on the handle bars. For mine, I used an amp in the saddle bag and wired it to an mp3 player in the leather tank pouch. Worked great.
