How did it "blow out"?
Did it have a blister?
Was the cord showing?
Were you doing a burnout?
I'd take it back to dealer if it was driven normally, bet they'll warranty(pro-rate it).

went over to the cascades to the east slope and it was a ~108 over there

us over on this side aren't  used to that heat (PNW). the boss pulled me over when she noticed just out of twisp that it was wearing thru to the cord. saw a white stripe developing on the tire. it had proper pressure. let approx 15 to 20 lbs out to try to change wear pattern and rolled the dice and made it to rockport just over the top  on hwy 20 heading west.

bike was running ( like most newer ones) damned hot. i think the ambient temp and the heat off the bike had a lot to do with it.

never do  burnouts and did not see any blisters but when it was noticed yes cords were showing at approx 150ish miles from home.

-tire had no show of cords 200 miles ish earlier on start of ride

i am a big percentage front brake user. just throwing that n.

i just ordered the 880. have used it on the last bike but i did not get any where the millage you do. i'd be happy to get 10k out of the back

7,000 isn't bad.  Did you check your pressure often?

When I had a 17" rear wheel on my Deuce I was getting about 9k on a Metzler Sportech M3.  Last one I got ( last fall ) was made in Germany.

I have a 18" rear wheel it on now and am trying a 200mm ME880xxl for the first time on the rear.  If I can get 9k on it I will be happy.
Idiots are fun, no wonder every village wants one.

I get around 6k on my 200mm Dunlop.  I'm not sure if the Cross Bone's 200mm tire is a 17" was wonderring what CB riders are getting.  It's a D402 vs the D407 on my Softail.
