New 09 streetglide valve train is so quiet I can hardley hear it at all. I've owned 3 other new ones and they all made noise, even new. Not this one. Even with stock pipes

You didn't make a mistake and buy a Honda, did you? They sometimes look similar.

No.... This ones really quiet. I'm afraid to mess with it. And I've always messed with them. I have to look at my tac to see when to shift sometimes. I think its a Harley. Tranny makes a nice clunk going into first gear though

give it time good things (noise) will come to those who wait.

it will probably be on a recall don't tell the dealer its quiet. I'de like to hear the dealer say for once they all don't do that

Well, no wonder! You need to get busy modifying it. Add a noisy, radical cam with heavier valve springs and you should be able to get the noise level up. It's worked for me in the past.

LOL.  :hyst:

Install a gear drive cam set.  It will sound like the cam is coming out any minute. I can give you a deal on one this winter when I take it out.

my 09 valvetrain is sorta quite, but I just have old evo bikes to compare it to, I have gotten used to the whiney 5th gear, it acts like a nice "indicator" of which gear you are in...which is odd that they have to tell you when its in 6th with a light, I just like to think its the last gear thats not noisy

Put a set of woods cams in it then see if its still Quiet...............

I rented a 09 Heritage in Hawaii last spring. Sounded like my moms old sewing machine low on oil. This ones real quiet. I'm scared. At least the tranny makes some noise.

I think I may have gotten lucky this time. I've always get the noisy ones. Even Evo's. (Hope I didn't just jinx myself for saying that)

no "Potty mouth", after I ride the 09 dyna then take the wife out on the shovel flh I am tempted to take the windshield off it to drown out the topend noise,
