aside from not wearing black gloves, how do you speed up the wearing of the dye so your hands aren't black after a ride?

They are HD goves that someone bought for me, like the fit and are nice thin summer goves, but may have to go back to my snap on mechanic gloves

thanks all

Everyone wants to change the world but, no one wants to change the toilet paper.

That's never happened to me and I've had several pair of HD gloves.  Maybe you ought to inquire at the dealership if they can be replaced as a warranty issue.  When that doesn't work send a note to HD Customer Service.  Maybe they received a defective shipment.  Something isn't right.  I have had boots that ruined a handful of socks in the past now that I think about it though.

Every pair of HD gloves I've ever worn made my hands black. Someone said it had something to do with my PH and the way my hands sweat, coupled with the Chinese leather dying process. I've tried washing the gloves with everything from saddle soap to a vinegar solution... nothing really helps. Whatever... I wash my hands and keep on riding. The good news is the gloves last for years, the bad news is, so does the black hands. It's hard to get off, but it doesn't bother me.

Never happened to me and I sweat like a pig...I wash them every few weeks and get a little black dye in the water...

No Problem

every new pair has done that i wash them and it stops most of the time  the black dye sure is hard to get off dont worry about it and ride

Rinse them in a 50-50 mixture of water and white vinegar.  Wring them out and let them dry.

No joke as it is probably the higher acidic content you produce.  I don't have an answer but the Churchil Gloves work the best for me. I would try turning them inside out and scrubbing them with a brush and dish soap.  Then try the washing machine.  Then I would put them on WET and let them dry so they don't shrink too much.  The bleeding dye will stop but it takes little while.

I had a pair of really cheap fingerless gloves once and I wore them on the way to Laughlin for the River Run. We rode the first 75 miles in the rain and my hands were kind of black/purple in color. I tried washing my hands at the first restaurant stop, but the color wouldn't come out. When we got to the hotel, I washed my hands using their soap and the color came right out.... Had me wondering, "What the h%ll was in their soap!"

Hmmm... must have something to do with body chemistry because I've never had gloves (any brand) turn my hands black.

You could stop buying black gloves.  I use deer skin work gloves.  Very comfortable and no dye.  They are usually just oiled.

I would like a thumb about 8" long with bad black dye on a pair of gloves.
Then I might impress my wife, lol.

I'd be wary of turning my back on those three amigos.

I think it has a lot to do with your body PH, maybe what ya eat. Heck, I even turn sterling silver black! I wash out new gloves several times. Best I can do.
