08 Softail rear wheel change

Hi can I take rear wheel off of a 05 softail and place on an 08 softail if I change the bearings to 25mm and use the 08 pulley and disc? I'm wanting to go to an 18" and 08 wheels are hard to find and I can't get the true info.

Not sure if all softails are the same. For a Fatboy the 05 rim and tire are much narrower, 150/160 compared to 200. The 08 fender is also wider than the 05... may look kinda fugly? The rotors and calipers may also be a concern... Will send you a softail specific link where others will no more.

Sent an email with link? Anyway, your 08 fender and tire is wider than an 05 tire... But, its your bike and if it does not bother you, than it does not matter! :)
