What primer do you need for ABS plastic? Anything special??? TIA

seattledyna

PPG DPLF epoxy primer is best, but there are some Plastic Adhesion Promoter products in spray cans that most auto paint supply places will have,

What are you painting?

My Son and I are making him a Bobber out of a TW200 Yamaha. I got an old Honda Tank of ebay, and I'm going to use a plastic fender for the rear, at least for now. It's starting to look like something now. I cant wait to blow some paint on it and finish the seat. So, Mike, I cant buy a decent spray can primer??

seattledyna

yes you can, SEM makes an excellent self etching spray can primer, comes in gray or black, I use it alot on small parts and some auto stuff, check out your local auto paint store, all SEM products are very good!
