Bub 7 2 into 1

Anyone tried the Bub 7 2 into 1 pipe? Im looking for a 2 into 1 system for my 03 E-glide and haven't heard much about this pipe. Im looking for a mild pipe for torque and touring.

Great pipe!  Have it on several builds from mild to wild. Nice tone and power from start to finish.

04, I cant speak to the 2-1 pipes, but have the Bub7 tru duals.  As with all Bub/Rinehart systems, they run loud.  I dont know if you will be happy with the sound levels.

Personally, I am thinking of going to a quieter setup.  I wear custom molded ear plugs and a full face and the resonance inside my helmet is something else.  Its because of the Bubs.

Might consider the SuperTrapp.  They are quiet and produce great power, too. I am considering tading my 07 RG for a 10 RG, and will go with Supertrapp, or the SE equivalent.  I cant do the loud pipes any longer.

Just my opinion on this.

Well I ordered the Bub 7 2 into 1. Now I just have to wait for it to ship ground UPS across the US. I think I will go shop for a needle for my carb just in case I need one.

Panzer, yepp, me gettin mellow man.  Damn....must be age, cause I dont partake of that green stuff anymore.  Well, actually, its been about 30 years since I done that.

Course, if this ringing in my ears would go away, maybe I could hear better!  lol

New pipe is on and I am  It's just what I was looking for. Bike still has plenty of low end torque and now revs out with ease. This went on a stage 1 88" motor. It also sounds great. Nice deep idle with a fair amount of bark to it when twisting the throttle but not neighbor killers. I have run plenty of pipes over the years and some would kill the low end and be happy in the upper RPMs others would be just the opposite. This one is just right.

how would you say this fit and finish are ? easy install ?

Fit and finish are pretty good IMHO. The chrome is great. The pipe went on real easy. It took me twice as long to get the old pipes off. When I first fired it up the wife came running out and said it sounds wonderful. Wife loving new pipes is always a good thing. I will try to get some pics up.

Well to me it sounds great. It has got to be one of the deepest sounding pipes I have heard. Keep in mind I used to run a RB racing LSR 2 into 1 that was pretty loud on my 04 E-glide. This pipe is longer so I don't hear it as well. It can get loud when you twist the throttle but when putting through town it's mellow. That is what I was looking for sound wise. Over the years I have been disappointed after installing a new pipe. Im very happy with this one.

I've had the chance to hear it on my build in the dyno room at Valley Racing. The pipe is bad ass, not just sound wise but performance wise also. That pipe on my build made some serious improvements across my entire dyno chart.

I know Valley has tried & compared it on many builds against many of the known big name performance 2 in 1 pipes & it shines every time.

Bub really nailed it with this new pipe...

I finally got around to tuning the carb. Ended up dropping a sporty needle in it and adjusted the mixture a little. This thing is only 88" and pulls better then my old 95" motor.  I just bought this bike a few months ago and the indy I bought it from told me it was a fresh 88" motor that he built, 12 miles on it.. Im going to have to use a bore scope to check the piston tops. It had a 48 slow jet in it and I thought that was way big. I tried a 45 and it ran like crap(lean and popping out the carb). Put the 48 back in and pulls strong right from the bottom all the way up. 195 on the main with a sporty needle this thing should be real rich for a 88' but it's not.

is any body using this pipe and what do you think of it ?
I've been thinking about getting it, but need more info. also did any body hear about BUB discontinuing this pipe ?
drag said it being discontinued, some on ebay saying the same thing , so I called BUB themselves , you know go right to the horse type thing. They said no it wasn't being discontinued, but I'm not sure I believe them too many saying its done. thanks

If you want the pipe, buy it...I wouldnt worry about if its discontinued.  If so, its likely because many riders go with other brands that have been doing 2-1 a lot longer than Bub.  They make good products and are well tested.

I dont know anyone who runs their 2-1 pipes tho.  I run the Bub truduals, myself.
