A buddy has an 09 ultra with Harley heated grips and wants to change out the handlebars. The P&A book has different handlebars but none of them fit with the heated hand grips. Is there an extension harness available? Anybody here have any suggestions?

Thanks, Mark.

Get some shrink wrap, same gauge wire and colors, solder and solder gun and cut and splice.

It's not a problem of wire length. Problem is that wires from left heated grip to ground and battery are on the outside of the grip. You must drill a hole in switch housing to run them inside the bar. See photo. You must also cut the edge of an inner piece not to bit the wires.

If your buddy does not want to internally wire the bar then there's no problem at all.

Hope this helps, best regards.
