I'm not very knowlegable in regards to the Dyna's but, didn't some of them have a built in 1 1/2 degree rake in the triple trees right from the factory. How did this effect things or is it such a small amount that it was un-noticable.

They didn't rake the trees on Dynas, thats on FXST softails. Dynas used a 32 degree raked frame on WG & low riders vs. 28 degree on sports & basic superglides.

Thanks for the info. Are you saying though that some of the FXST's had rakes built into their trees?

Having owned both rakes on Dyna's in my opinion the 28 degree handles better and makes the bike look more compact.  A fork brace on a 32 degree is a noticeable improvement in handling but never have tried one on a 28 degree, but then Christmas isn't here yet.  That may change on my 28 degree Street Bob.

Put the fork brace on my 06 street bob last year, makes a big diff in the front end stiffness, much better. Next need to put the dual disc on the front..Bob

Thanks FXDBI.  I thought with the thicker forks the brace may not make much difference, but if it does I know what my daughter can get me for Christmas!
