05 883 carb tuning

So I put new intake seals and checked mixture screw was about 1 1/2 turns out so put in a 45 slow jet and it is still coughing every now and then any sugestions ?

you may be lean at the transition point between pilot and needle.  try one #4 brass washer under the needle.  If it improves, but doesn't clean up the issue, try 2 washers.

do what Chief is saying first.     I kinda assumed that you may know that you can go as much as 3 1/4-3 1/2 turns out on the air/fuel screw.
