Why Yes I have as a matter of fact.
I suppose you could remove the tire and wheel and go get it fixed and return to put it back on the bike,
You could go get a U-haul,
you could ride it till it was ruined and have a friend waiting with another wheel and tire for you.
You could have changed out to mags before you went on a trip
I suppose before you spent $900 for a tow there may have been other options, maybe not.
A 1" rip in a tubeless tire can be patched

Seriously? Most people don't want to plug a simple nail puncture.
