My front brake light does not work but the rear does on my 2001 harley. Fuse? Thanks

Does anyone buy a shop manual anymore?  No, there is no fuse that is unique to the front brake switch.  My guess would be either a bad switch or a bad contact.  Then again, you said your front brake LIGHT didn't work, but since HD's don't have front brake LIGHTS, I'm assuming you mean the activation of the front brakes does not light the brake light in the back of the bike.

Maybe post your model.  If someone has a manual for that model they could look up the wiring for the connector of the harness going to the bars.  Connector may be under the tank.  Then you could pop that connector open, and jump the correct wires - acting like the switch and see if the light light's up.  If it does, probably a bad switch.  Make sure it's in nuetral while your jumping wires.  In case you accidentally hit the starter, don't want the thing jumping forward.

Yep, read the manual a bit & learn your bike! Two brake light actuator switches on all the newer models & neither are very good. I've replaced both a few times. The one in the hand control is especial junk & tough to change. Accel makes maybe a better replacement for the rear switch. Bought a few from J&P. My 'ol Pan just has the rear switch & that's good enough! Eglide565

OK. Thanks everyone. I wrote from work, due to it eating at me as I just discovered the problem. I have read the manual now and yes, that front brake switch looks like a pain. Oh well, it's gotta be fixed. Thanks again!

The problem may not be the front switch. More often than not when the front switch fails the brake light will be lit all the time. I'd be verifying that the wiring is good first. Just saying...
